Nancy Thayer

Dear Reader,
I’m sure you know The Hot Flash Club books are very close to my life and to my heart. Writing them made me want to write more about friendship, because I really need my friends. I wanted to write a kind of love story – about several kinds of love, and about the importance of faith and hope, and I wanted my characters to be young, because I feel like my Hot Flash Club women are older and have gotten pretty wise. So I wrote Moon Shell Beach, about friendship and forgiveness and hope. I’m sure I’ll write more Hot Flash Club books someday, and I hope my readers know how important their opinions are to me. I know the Hot Flash Club women would love Moon Shell Beach, and it would inspire a lot of discussion – and some tears and lots of laughter, followed by much eating of chocolate – oh, yes, Clare, in Moon Shell Beach, owns a chocolate shop!

With warm (!) wishes,
Nancy
