WEDDINGS!

Thirty four years ago, just outside Kansas City,  my darling sister Martha

married her true love, Chuck.

As the big sister, I had to be there to be sure she looked as pretty as a picture.

And we had to double check the all-important garter!

And off we went to my sweet old-fashioned baby sister’s wedding!

It was a beautiful wedding.

I’ve often wondered about what was in the cake.  Chuck looks mischievous and Martha certainly looks excited.  But then, the two of us always get excited about food.

Charley, a bachelor and  my one true love, flew back to the wedding with us.  He’s on the left, looking rather decisive.  And next, you’ll see my favorite wedding photo of all time!

Look at Charley reaching out to catch the garter!  That is a man who wants to get married!

Next time, photos of our wedding!
